MPA LLC supports STAND-UP Call by CEO SCHULTZ for dialog on Race

Coming to Milwaukee by MPA LLC
MARCH 19, 2015
City Center Milwaukee |  DAY 180 |  Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC salutes and support the call by CEO Howard Schultz, Starbucks, to "not sit/stand silent" when we could at the very least start dialong with those who feel OK with the engagement.  Those who may feel "uneasy" but feel it is vital for the growth and success of the United States of America - then going broad.

CEO Howard Schultz is encouraging his employees to bring up the hot-button issue — his latest foray into controversial topics says Phil Wahba, Fortune.

Everyday, we see hate and violence against each other - nation-to-nation, gender-to-gender, family member-to-family member, members of Congress (state and national), corporation-to-corporation, age-to-age, class-to-class and race-to-race.  So, where are we going?  Do we have another place to exist prior to removal caused due mortality.

Why are we so afraid to talk about the horrors of RACISM?
Why are we often in denial and pretense?
Why do we say one thing and do another?
Why are we so "mean and mean-spirited" toward African American, other People of Color and Work Challenged individuals in our society?  Among the above three, African Americans are the most hard-hit and systematically attacked.

Our history in America bear out atrocities that many want to forget because of just that, they are atrocities.  They know it was wrong.   Some to dismiss guilt or ownership of guilt.  Some become dismayed and angered to the point of blame of the victim.

Whatever the reason, we need to TALK.  REASON.  DISAGREE.  AGREE. PROVIDE CLOSURES.  OPEN NEW Vistas of change that allows "proper healing" for a more honest and healthy world during the time we remain alive and prior to our death.

One of the commonn bonds will be the many things that are similar.

Just as the President of Oklahoma University called for "Zero" tolerance; it sent the right and profound messages.  He also said, as a Caucasian male and citizen with leadership responsibilities, I stand for "justice and respect" for all.  No matter what!

So, YES.  Howard Schultz, CEO, Starbuck is providing leadership and stewardship through citizenship and fellowship.  These are four of the eleven core building capacity strategies MPA LLC has adopted to help fulfill the goals of All Hands on Deck, WE MUST Initiative - MPA LLC Signature Plan.

March 17, 2015

Dear MARY,
As this year's flu season comes to a close, we are pleased to have played a part in protecting moms and moms-to-be from this deadly disease. The flu vaccine is the best defense against seasonal flu, and is recommended for everyone six months of age and older.

Through a partnership with Rite Aid stores, Text4baby offered moms and moms-to-be a coupon code for a free flu shot. Nearly 3,000 coupons were redeemed for shots provided at Rite Aid stores across the country.

Thanks for all of your efforts to promote flu prevention in your local communities!

MPA LLC Endorses Justice Ann Walsh Bradley

Re-Elect Justice Ann Walsh Bradley
March 9, 2015
City Center Milwaukee | DAY 189 |  Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC endorses Justice Ann Walsh Bradley for re-election on April 7, 2015.
Had the opportunity of meeting Justice Bradley last Sunday evening, March 1, 2015 during her campaign stop in Shorewood.
The event was hosted by Northshore Grassroots.
What captured my attention was Judge Bradley's up-close greeting with me and candid statements during her talk about why she is running for another 10-year term. While she had several reasons why, the comments that resonated with me as a voter looking through a prism of a justice system that is need of drastic and vast changes, her interest in updating the quality assurance of the courts spoke to my vote for her.
Her background from small town teacher, wife, mother of 4 to lawyer and gender competition as a young attorney in small town Wisconsin spoke to the tenacity she has had to exhibit to get where she is today - and she has not forgotten from which she had come and who she is representing as one of the 7 Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Her repeated statements of everybody getting a "chance" - a fair chance when going to court. She also spoke of the politics of the race and expected vast amounts of funding from outside pacts during the latter part of the campaign for her opponent.

We ask that you look her over and JOIN US in re-electing Justice Bradley.

Politics & WI Supreme Court - April 7, 2015, You decide

WI SUPREME COURT JUSTICES
CLOCKWISE:   Justice Chair Shirley Abrahamson, Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, Justice Patrick Crooks, Justice Annette Kingsland Ziegler, Justice Michael Gableman, Justice David Prosser, Justice Patience Roggensack

Circuit Court Judge James Daley(challenger) and Justice Ann Walsh Bradley (incumbent)

STATE OF WISCONSIN - Election 2015
On April 7, 2015, the people of Wisconsin have the opportunity of deciding who (incumbent Justice Ann Walsh Bradley or challenger Rock county Circuit Court Judge James Daley) will complete the 7-member state supreme court.

It is a date the People/voters of Wisconsin will also have an opportunity to speak on behalf of the procedure of selecting the "chief justice".

At the present time, the chief is Justice Shirley Abrahamson.Referendum on Election of Chief Justice
Question 1: "Election of chief justice. Shall section 4 (2) of article VII of the constitution be amended to direct that a chief justice of the supreme court shall be elected for a two-year term by a majority of the justices then serving on the court?"

Explanation

The Wisconsin constitution currently provides that the chief justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court is its longest-serving member.  The proposed constitutional amendment would instead select the chief justice through an election by a majority of the justices then serving on the Court.
A “yes” vote on this question would mean that the chief justice shall be elected for a term of two years by a majority of the justices then serving on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  The justice who is elected may decline to serve as chief justice or resign the position, but still continue to serve as a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
A “no” vote would mean that the longest-serving member of the Wisconsin Supreme Court serves as chief justice of the Court.  The justice designated as chief justice may decline to serve as chief justice or resign the position, but still continue to serve as a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
There was a state constitutional amendment passed earlier this year 17-14 vote strictly along party lines in favor of change.  CLICK.

What do you think?

More importantly, what will you do on April 7, 2015.

We say vote your conscience with the "FACTS" and knowledge of what is at stake and what the political siege is for YOU the average citizen.

IT MATTERS WHO SIT IN THE 7 SEATS and WHAT THEIR AGENDA IS.
